The design of the game is centered around the theme of "Loop".
The feeling that we wanted to convey was one of confusion and frustration, entering a doorway, to somehow end up at the beginning over and over again in a seamless transition.
We also wanted the game to feature combat, not to take the main front of the game, but to give the player something to distract them while thinking of what door to take next.
My role for this gamejam was to lead the team while working and keeping the vision of the game. Even though the timespan is very short, we managed to communicate a lot about gameplay, and some small bits of design. I was also working with 3D assets for the game, making textures and models, as well as making 2D assets for UI, title logo and decals.
I also made sure to tweak values for some of our mechanics, like screenshake, headbobs, projectiles and VFX.

Timespan: 48 hours
Oroboros is a game made on a gamejam hosted by the Designer Den discord community. We had 48 hours to make a playable game based on the theme "LOOP".
Design
The game is an FPS, where the goal is simple: to get out of the dungeon which keeps you trapped in an endless loop. To escape, the player needs to kill the enemies they encounter and pick the correct exit in each room, or end up at the start if they chose the wrong one.
